Where you ever posted to Portsmouth, served and lived in the Lee-on-the-Solent and Gosport/Fareham area e.g HMS Daedalus, Collingwood, Sultan, Dolphin, Haslar, Seafield Park or the Armament, Victualling and Naval Store Depots, HM Naval Base, then the DVD snapshot of life in Lee-on-the-Solent could well be of interest to you and your relatives.
The Life in Lee DVD Project was undertaken by two media students, Katie McBride and Nikki Ross, at St Vincent College, Colin Biddle a neighbour and Ray Harding over a 12 month period. The completed DVD was launched at the Lee Festival 2008, a Community and Youth event, and has been used to raise funds for Key Youth Projects identified in the Vision4Lee MTI Healthcheck Final Report details of which can be found on the LoSRA website.
The DVD, price £2.50, is on sale in a number of Lee-on-the-Solent pubs, clubs and in retail outlets in Lee High Street.
