11th December 2011
Walkers met at the small car park (where the Persimmon sales hut used to be) at the junction of Cherque Way and Fitzroy Drive.
It was led by Fred Gibson, GBC Countryside Officer
Despite the initial light rain, the worst of the weather held off and Fred gave a fascinating introduction to the history, flora and fauna of this area. More walks are planned for next year and come highly recommended by those who were there

LoSRA are also hoping to organise a walk for those with limited mobility and in need of transport. If there are enough people who want such a walk we can organise this and also transport, probably by ICANGO (the cost of the transport will be shared amongst those taking part). If you are interested please contact Richard Mackay Chair LoSRA 023 92 550285 with your name and contact details.
