Since the new coalition government came to power in May this year, they have been looking at ways to give people and local communities more power to improve public services.
David Cameron announced that every department should publish a plan that sets clear priorities and measureable milestones known as Structural Reform Plans, enabling anyone to check that Government departments are meeting their commitments.
For those interested in local environmental quality the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have published their Structural Reform Plan and are welcoming comments from members of the public on their key priorities.
